FOLEY -- Benton County commissioners heard Sheriff Troy Heck give his annual report today (Tuesday).

Some of the findings show 2015 was very similar to the year before in the number of calls for service and the types of crimes being committed. The top five calls were for theft, fraud, DUI, harassment and domestic abuse.

Heck says the good news is that violent crime remains low in Benton County. He says it shows the commitment by all law enforcement agencies in Benton County to work together to prevent crimes and solve those that occur.

According to the report, Benton County's investigative division saw a 35% increase in their caseload in 2015 and cleared 79% of them.

Heck encourages the public's help in preventing crimes from happening and reporting crimes and suspicious activity to authorities as they work to keep Benton County a safe place to live.
