Benton County Names New County Attorney

FOLEY — The Benton County Board of Commissioners has picked the Lake of the Woods County Attorney as its new county attorney.

The board chose Philip K. Miller to fill the remainder of Robert Raupp’s term.

Governor Mark Dayton appointed Raupp as a district court judge earlier this summer.

Raupp’s term expires January 5th, 2015. Miller has been the Lake of the Woods County Attorney since 2011 and also held the position from 1997-2007. He served as the Koochiching County Attorney from 2007-2010.

Miller will start his duties in Benton County September 3rd.
