FOLEY -- The number of Benton County crimes involving adults has gone up only slightly in 2010 compared to 2009.

Some crimes like misdemeanor assaults dropped significantly, while others like burglaries rose. Benton County Attorney Robert Raupp says unfortunately domestic crimes continue to hold steady or even go up.

Raupp says DWI's were steady when comparing 2010 to the year before but are trending lower this year. He says burglaries took a jump between 2009 and 2010 and drug crimes are trending higher.

Overall, there were 981 criminal cases involving adults in 2010 compared to 962 crimes the year before. Since the middle of July, there have been 473 such crimes which is about on pace with previous years.
