Benton County Commissioners Keep Salaries Frozen

FOLEY -- Benton County Commissioners voted to keep their own salaries, as well as most of the other elected officials, the same as this year.

Commissioners will make just over $27,000 in 2011, and they'll be paid a per diem of $55 per meeting -- both are the same as this year.

The Attorney's salary stays the same at just under $102,000.  The Sheriff's salary is the same as this year at $93,400.  The Recorder is getting a 1 1/2% increase and will make nearly $63,000 next year.  And Benton County will have a new Auditor/Treasurer next year, Kari Thorston will make $80,000 -- about $6,000 less than current Auditor/Treasurer Joan Neyssen.
