Benton Beach Wedding Ruined by Thieves

LANGOLA TOWNSHIP - A burglary from wedding crashers disrupted a reception at Benton Beach on the weekend of August 2nd.

The Benton County Sheriff's Office says they received a report of a burglary at the Lakeview Center building in the Benton Beach Campground in Langola Township.

Eric Abfalter and Naomi Turchi-Abfalter said they had rented the center for their August 2nd wedding. It was learned that wedding crashers took several items from the vehicles of guests during the reception.

Things got worse overnight, when someone broke into the Center and stole gift cards, a laptop and two Ipods that were left in the building.

Investigating deputies found evidence of forced entry and collected evidence at the scene. The Benton County Sheriff's Office is continuing to investigate this incident.
