BECKER - The Becker police department is alerting residents about the dangers of wild animals. Over the last several weeks, officers have had to remove a number of foxes and raccoons.

It hasn't been confirmed, but some of the animals were showing signs of being rabid or sick. One raccoon was sent in for testing.

The Becker police department asks that you be cautious of approaching animals that don't appear to be acting "normal", such as: agitated, not scared of humans, foaming at the mouth, and confused.

You should also watch your pets while they're outside.
