BECKER - Becker High School has a brand new swimming pool and updated auditorium after a large renovation project this year.

The school underwent a $25 million renovation. A building bond in November of 2012 provided funds to update school facilities, including maintenance and building improvements.

Becker Public Schools Superintendent Stephen Malone says the swimming pool will benefit both students and the community with swim meets and lessons.

Becker High School will have its first swim meet next week.

Malone says the auditorium is another large upgrade for the school. The renovation added more seats and upgraded the lighting and technology.

Bond money was also used to renovate the high school gym, install new tennis courts and soccer fields, replace high school lockers and added both a student and public parking lot.

The school is hosting an open house on September 26th from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. Members of the public are invited to see the new additions and updates to the school.
