Beaver Island Trail Extension Complete In South St. Cloud
ST. CLOUD - A lot of the attention has been focused on the Beaver Island Trail extension that's happening in downtown St. Cloud. However, a small extension project on the south end of the trail has recently been completed.
St. Cloud City Engineer Steve Foss says they just completed Phase 8, which was a 1,500 foot section, along Clearwater Road.
We're continuing to push that trail south. Eventually it will go all the way to the corporate city limits. This section of trail in-filled between the section of trail to the south of it two years ago, and then the existing trail that goes all the way north to the campus area. So, it's another component of the Beaver Island Trail system.
Foss says the city says you can now take the trail all the way out to the new Coborn's Corporate headquarters. He says eventually it will be extended to the I-94 Business Park.
The extension work near downtown St. Cloud is expected to be completed in the next few weeks.
