ST. CLOUD - Another local craft beer option is ready to be tapped at bars around the St. Cloud metro area.

The Beaver Island Brewing Company is launching their beer to the general public at several locations this week. This Thursday they'll be at the Boulder Tap House at 5:00 p.m. and at Grizzley's Woodfire Grille at 8:00 p.m.

Friday's tapping includes: Veranda Lounge at 4:00 p.m., House of Pizza in St. Cloud at 5:30 p.m., D.B. Searle's at 7:00 p.m., Green Mill at 8:30 p.m. and the Pickled Loon at 10:00 p.m.

On Saturday you can sample their beer at the House of Pizza in Sartell at 5:00 p.m., Old Capital Tavern in Sauk Rapids at 6:30 p.m., and at Jimmy's Pourhouse in Sauk Rapids at 8:00 p.m.

Co-owner Nick Barth says the tap room isn't quite ready to open yet, but they are hoping to have that available for the public in a couple of weeks. Then you'll be able to buy growlers from them to take home with you.

Barth
and Matt Studer announced plans to launch Beaver Island Brewing Company on 6th Avenue at the former location of Bo Diddley’s Deli in downtown St. Cloud back in September.

St. Cloud has not had a brewery since 1939.
