Funeral services for Beatrice ‘Bea’ I. Manthei, 92, who passed away Thursday April 9, 2015 at Ridgeview Place in Sauk Rapids, will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 13, 2015 at Living Waters Lutheran Church in Sauk Rapids. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church on Monday. Burial will be at Zion Methodist Cemetery, Danube, MN at 2:30 pm. Arrangements have been entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Sauk Rapids.

Bea was born February 20, 1923 in Flora Township, MN to August and Emelia (Grabow) Butenhoff. She married Donald Manthei May 6, 1946 in Danube. The couple had lived in Danube most of their life and has lived in Sauk Rapids for over 25 years. She worked as a scale house operator at the sugar beet plant in Renville for over 20 years. Bea was a member of Living Waters Lutheran Church, Sauk Rapids. She enjoyed camping, casino trips, sewing, crafts, gardening, canning and doing garage sales. Bea was always there for all family events. Her family was everything to her.

Survivors include her daughters and son, Judy (Larry Zimmerman) Dahl, Sauk Rapids, Donna (Lauren) Olson, Sauk Rapids and Howard (Joan), Hutchinson; grandchildren, Chad (Ronda) Folkerts, Jamie (Christine) Olson, Kristin (Bill) Schmidt, Wade (Andrea) Olson, Bryan (Carrie) Manthei and Lindsey (Kyle) Schantzen; great-grandchildren, Paige Folkerts, Brady Schmidt, Kaileigh Schmidt, Ryan Olson, Reece Olson, Abigail Manthei, Nicholas Manthei, Bridget Manthei, Kaden Schantzen and Kendall Schantzen; step-great-grandchildren, Nick, Ashley, Jay and Kyle Betker; step-sisters, Joan (Marvin) Caspers and Donna Ammerman; and sister-in-laws, Harriet (Bob) Borst, Mary Ann Pfeiffer and Pat Manthei. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, January 14, 2004, parents, brothers, John, Gilbert and infant brother, Eugene; and sister, Hazel Herman.

The family wishes to thank all caregivers who assisted this past year, especially the staff at Ridgeview Place, Prairie Ridge Memory Care and St. Croix Hospice.
