Baxter Teenager Arrested For Allegedly Possessing Marijuana
LITTLE FALLS -- A Baxter man was arrested yesterday (Thursday) for allegedly possessing drugs in Morrison County.
The incident happened just before 11:00 p.m. near the Highway 10/Highway 371 split, north of Little Falls.
Sheriff Shawn Larsen says a deputy pulled over a Ford Escape, driven by 18-year-old Roger Hegarty, for a traffic violation.
When the deputy approached Hegarty's vehicle, he could smell marijuana. A search of the vehicle found about three pounds of suspected marijuana.
Hegarty admitted to buying the drugs for about $6,000.
He was taken to the Morrison County Jail where he awaits formal charges of 5th degree possession of a controlled substance.
