ST. CLOUD -- The trial of a man accused of killing a Rockville man in June 2012 won't get underway Thursday as scheduled.

Stearns County Judge Frederick Grunke has granted a defense motion to continue the trial until May 6th.

Marcus Barshaw is accused of shooting and killing Jeffrey Schutz at Schutz' Rockville home following an argument. Stearns County Sheriff's deputies then conducted a search and found Barshaw hiding in an apartment building laundry room.

Barshaw was shot by deputies after allegedly refusing to put down his guns and at one point raising them toward officers.

He's charged with first degree murder, second degree murder, second degree assault with a dangerous weapon and use of deadly force against a peace officer.
