Barking Dogs Thwart Burglary Attempt
ST. CLOUD -- A homeowner's dogs are being credited for scaring off a burglar early this morning.
St. Cloud Police were called to the 1000 block of 22nd Avenue North at about 1:45 a.m.
Police say someone got into an unlocked vehicle and used the garage door opener to get inside the garage. It woke up the dogs, whose barking woke up the homeowners.
The barking also appeared to scare the suspect or suspects away.
Nothing was taken, but electronic items were tampered with in an attempt to take them.
