Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 24, 2014 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Barbara L. (Jendro) Pfannenstein, age 82 of St. Cloud who passed away on Monday, July 21, 2014 at the St. Cloud Hospital. Reverend Mark Innocenti will officiate. Burial will take place at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday (TODAY) at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud and after 9:30 a.m. on Thursday at the church. Parish prayers will be at 4:30 p.m. followed by the Waite Park Silver Star American Legion Unit #428 Auxiliary at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home in St. Cloud.

Barb was born August 18, 1931 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Leonard and Hazel (Henderson) Jendro. She married Thomas J. Pfannenstein on April 21, 1951 in Leaksville, Mississippi. She was employed as a lunch room monitor at Westwood Elementary School for many years. Barb was a member of St. Michael’s parish and the Waite Park American Legion Unit #428 Auxiliary.

 
Barb loved going to the Bingo Emporium, going out to eat, and trips to the casino. She was a loving, caring woman with a feisty spirit who never skipped a beat. She enjoyed time spent with her family any chance she could get.

Barb was preceded in death by her mom, Hazel; dad, Leonard; eldest daughter, Sheila; youngest son, Peter; infant brother, Lonnie; and infant granddaughter, Denise.

She is survived by Thomas, her husband of 63 years; her son, Tim; her daughter, Cindy; son-in-law, Ken; daughters -in- law, Cheryl and Nyome and their families who cared for her during her final journey home. She adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren, who brought warmth to her heart each and every single day. They include Lori, Bob, Kendra, Christopher and Cody; Teri, Craig, Tanner and Grant; Matthew; Ashley, Keith and Jason; Daniel, Sarah, Leah and Lukas; Jessica and Isaiah; Bobby, Terrence and TJ; Becky and Ethan; Tahlia, Travis and Kevin; Jackie, Ty and Addilyn; Marika, Kirsten and Brittany. She is also survived by her brother, Jim “Pete”; sisters, Bette, Pegge and Audree; many nieces and nephews; whom she loved as her own, and countless other family and friends with whom she shared life’s journey, its goodness and the wonderment of family. We will miss you Barb, Mom, Gramma, Great-Gramma, Sis and friend. Dat Gummit!

Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
