Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Richmond, MN for Barbara ‘Barbie” Silbernick, age 68, who died peacefully at the St. Cloud Hospital surrounded by family. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday at the Wenner Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will continue from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. Tuesday morning at Wenner Funeral Home in Richmond. Arrangements are with Wenner Funeral Home, Richmond, MN.

Barbie was born in Richmond to Ralph L. and Viola S. (Thielman) Haffley. She married Ron “Barney” Silbernick on April 19, 1969 in Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Richmond. Barbie worked for Frigidaire for 28 years and was a member of Granite City Machinist local union 623. She loved being with her family, watching her grandchildren’s sporting events, her grandson perform in theater, and Minnesota sports teams on T.V. or live. Barbie also loved watching / feeding the birds, camping and going to the casino.

Survivors include her husband, Ronald; children, Becky (Mark) Benner, Tina (Wayne) Bahner, Mike Silbernick, Roxann (Jeffery) Smesmo, Sherrie (Clint) Benner, and Corey (Michelle) Silbernick; grandchildren, Nicholas, Dalton, & Brooke Benner, Matthew, Nolan & Karlee Bahner, Brady, Dylan & Amber Benner, Braylen, Bentley, Bryson Silbernick & one on the way; brothers, Sheldon (Jean) Nies, Royce (Bonnie) Nies, Nancy Nies, Nick Haffley, Fred Haffley, Robert (Nita) Haffley, Steve (Terri) Haffley, and Ralph Haffley; and many nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Ralph & Viola Haffley; brothers, Michael Haffley, and Joe Nies; step-mother, Betty Haffley; and sister-in-law, Jean Haffley.
