Bammert Sentenced to Prison for Police Stand-Off Shooting

ST. CLOUD — A St. Cloud man has been sentenced to more than 22 years in prison after firing gunshots at police in August 2010.

27-year-old Frank Bammert was sentenced today after he was previously convicted of two counts of first degree assault, two counts of second degree assault and one count of being a felon in possession of a gun.

The incident happened August 14th, 2010 when Bammert fired several gunshots at police during a standoff at his St. Cloud apartment. Police fired back, hitting Bammert in the head and neck.
