Baker Gets Tommy John Surgery
Twins righthander Scott Baker received Tommy John surgery Tuesday along with the replacing of pronator flexor tendon in his right elbow. Twins General Manager Terry Ryan said the doctor had prepped Baker for the posibility of the replacement of the Ulnar collateral ligament (Tommy John surgery) in his right elbow. Doctors determined that the UCL had to be replacement too. Baker’s rehab will now but much longer than the 6 months that was originally forecasted.
Baker is 30-years old. He was 8-6 with a 3.14 ERA in 2011.
