UNDATED -- If Congresswoman Michele Bachmann wants to take-on President Barack Obama in the next election, she's got some work to do.

In her first national head-to-head poll, Bachmann trails Obama 51-33%.

The poll results by the organization Public Polling Policy were released today (Thursday), the day before she's scheduled to speak at an event in Iowa.  The poll of 642 registered voters was taken January 14th-16th.

Obama led all Republican candidates in the poll, edging Mitt Romney 48-43%, Mike Huckabee 49-44%, Newt Gingrich 51-49%, and Sarah Palin 55-38%.  Former Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty was not included in the poll.
