On Endorsing a GOP Presidential candidate:
It's been a few weeks now since Sixth District Congresswoman Michele Bachmann dropped out of the Republican race for President, but she's still not ready to throw her support to any of the remaining candidates.

Bachmann says she is ready to support whomever the Republican candidate turns out to be.

On running for re-election:
We learned this week that Bachmann has decided to run for a fourth term.  She says she got input from a lot of people before deciding to enter another campaign.

Two years ago she had a hard fought win over Tarryl Clark, in a race that turned out to be the most expensive Congressional race in the history of the U.S.

On the payroll tax cuts:
Now that Bachmann has ended her Presidential campaign, she can focus all of her attention on matters in Congress.  One of the big fights coming-up is over the payroll tax cuts.  At the end of last year Congress approved a two-month extension through February.  Bachmann says she does not want the tax cuts to be extended through the end of this year.

Meanwhile, Republican leaders in Congress generally are in favor of extending the tax cuts, but only if they're tied to reducing the national debt.
