Racism is no laughing matter, but a popular and award-winning comedy show, coming to The College of St Benedict, uses comedy to teach lessons about hurtful stereotypes.

The 90 minute show, starring three men from different ethnic backgrounds, is called "NWC." It includes stand-up comedy, music and poetry, all with the goal of demonstrating how common stereotypes are in every day life.

Brian Jose is the Executive Director of St Ben's and St John's Fine Arts Programming. He says the show has been staged at St Ben's before, and is very popular.

"NWC" will be performed on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in St Ben's Gorecki Family Theater. Tickets are $28 for adults, $24 for seniors, $18 for staff and faculty and $10 for students and kids. However, Jose says they have less than 15 left, so if you're interested, you should call the box office at 363-5777 as soon as possible.
