Avon Man Arrested For DWI, Fleeing Police

Police say a man is in jail after attempting to flee police while driving drunk.

A Stearns County Deputy spotted a vehicle swerving yesterday around 11:30 p.m on County Road 9 outside of Avon.

The deputy pulled over 26 year old Andy Birosh of Avon, but before he could breathlyze him, Birosh took off, reaching speeds around 70 mph.

The officer used a PIT manuever and Bilosh went into the ditch.

He was arrested for DWI, fleeing police, open bottle and obstructing legal process and taken to Stearns County Jail.
