Authorities Seek Public’s Help After Death of Bicyclist

ARDEN HILLS (AP) - The Ramsey County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's help as it investigates a bicycle accident that left one man dead.

Authorities say the accident happened at about 1:20 p.m. on Oct. 2 on Centerville Road in Vadnais Heights.

Rescuers arrived to find 57-year-old Robert Prudhomme of Cottage Grove injured in the roadway.

He was taken to Regions Hospital, where doctors indicated his injuries might not be consistent with a bicycle accident of this nature. Prudhomme was in a coma, so couldn't tell authorities what happened.

The sheriff's office says he was taken off life support Friday.

Authorities are trying to determine how the accident happened. They are seeking witnesses who might have seen how Prudhomme got injured or ended up in the roadway.
