HOPKINS -- Hopkins police are looking for witnesses to a hit-and-run crash that killed a 75-year-old woman.

Dolores Stafford was hit by a dark-colored SUV as she crossed a street in downtown Hopkins around 6 a.m. Wednesday. Stafford died Thursday at a hospital.

Police are looking at surveillance video from local businesses and Metro Transit buses. Sgt. Mike Glassberg says the videos may have captured the crash.

Stafford was a longtime Hopkins resident and was headed to a bus stop when she was hit in the western Minneapolis suburb. Glassberg says she was in a crosswalk and had a walk sign.

Authorities are offering a $6,000 reward for information.
