News Director: I’m a lifelong resident of this great state of Minnesota. I grew-up in the small West Central Community of Maynard. After graduating from the Brown Institute of Radio Broadcasting, I began my professional career working nights at KDMA radio in Montevideo back in 1988.  In 1995, I moved to Redwood Falls and worked as the sports director for KLGR radio.  I eventually became their morning show co-host and program director. I’ve been working here at WJON in St. Cloud since 2005, and have been the news director since 2007.  The main beats that I cover include: politics, education, and local government. I'm also the early morning news anchor on WJON, and I host the News @ Noon show weekdays on WJON. People often ask me, “What’s the best part of my job?”  The answer is that I get to meet a lot of great people, see a lot of cool places, and I never know from one day to the next what my day is going to bring.

St. Cloud’s Abe Lincoln Plaza Lit Up In Blue For ‘Law Enforcement Appreciation Day’

The new Abe Lincoln Plaza in downtown St. Cloud was lit up in blue Monday night. The blue color on the side of the parking ramp was in honor of "Law Enforcement Appreciation Day" in Minnesota, and across the country.

Sauk Rapids City Council Votes To Buy Down Resident’s Whitney Membership Fee

The Sauk Rapids city council has voted to help pay for its residents memberships to the Whitney Senior Center. During their meeting Monday night the council voted to use $2,000 already in their budget to pay $40 of individuals $50 membership for the year.
