Sports Notes; Local Basketball Players Get Honored
St. Cloud Cathedral's Michael Schaefer has been selected to the 2nd team on the Minnesota Senior All State team. Schaefer led the Crusaders to back to back Class AA state tournaments including a 3rd place finish this season. He averaged 24 points and 12 rebounds a game in senior year.

The NHL has suspended Winnipeg defenseman Josh Morrissey 1 game for his cross-check on center Eric Staal in the first period of Game 4 Tuesday night. Morrissey was not penalized for the hit and says he isn't a dirty player.

SCSU Hires Larson As Hockey Coach [AUDIO]
St. Cloud State has hired former University of Minnesota assistant coach Brett Larson to replace Bob Motzko. Larson was introduced at a press conference this afternoon. He signed a 5-year contract.
