Community Home Staff Member Cited For Spending Over $200 on Vulnerable Adult’s Debit Card

A staff member in a St. Cloud-Sartell community home has been cited for allegedly taking a debit card from a vulnerable adult and spending over $200 on it. According to an investigation memorandum from the Minnesota Department of Human Services, the incident happened at Generations Community Homes, which has facilities in St. Cloud and Sartell.

Super Bowl Champion Ben Utecht Speaks in St. Cloud For Concussion Awareness [VIDEO]

Former NFL tight end and Super Bowl champion Ben Utecht spoke in St. Cloud on Tuesday to raise awareness on sports-related concussions. Utecht was forced to retire from football in 2009 after suffering his fifth diagnosed concussion during a pre-season practice with the Cincinnati Bengals.

St. Joseph Moving Towards Nearly 100-Acre Distribution Center

St. Joseph is looking to move ahead with a proposed 745,000 foot distribution center. The center is proposed on 98.92 acres of mostly agricultural land in St. Joseph. The proposed location for the center is near 19th Avenue Northeast and County Road 133.

Little Free Libraries Popping Up in St. Joseph

Five Little Free Libraries have popped up in St. Joseph parks this summer. John Anderson is chair of the city park board and says a Little Free Library is a box full of books where anyone may stop by and pick up a book and bring back another to share.

St. Joseph Continues Discussion Towards Possible Dog Park

The St. Joseph park board is continuing to work towards creating a dog park in town. The plan was first presented to the city council earlier this month. John Anderson is chair of the park board and says a possible location for the park is a site between Fir Street and Highway 75, directly east of the Lake Wobegon Trail.

Sartell Police: Two Garages Broken Into During Last Couple Days

Sartell Police are reminding you to lock your garage door after a couple of burglaries over the last two days. Both incidents happened in the early morning in the 1100 block of 10th Avenue North in Sartell. In both instances, someone entered the garage attached to the home.

Staff Members at Two Sauk Rapids Group Homes Cited For Emotional Abuse

Staff members at two group homes for vulnerable adults in Sauk Rapids have been cited for three incidents of emotional abuse. An investigation memorandum from the Minnesota Department of Human Services says the incidents involved facilities at 1856 and 1852 Eastern Star Loop in Sauk Rapids prior to May 26th.

Darwin Man Seriously Hurt in Rollover, Alcohol Believed to be Factor

A Darwin man is hurt after rolling his vehicle early Tuesday morning. The incident happened just after 1:15 a.m. on County Raod 14, near the intersection of 180th Street. The Meeker County Sheriff's Office says 33-year-old Jason Schmidt was driving a pickup truck southbound on County Road 14, when the vehicle rolled.
