Man Arrested After 100+ MPH Chase With Becker Police

A Maple Grove man was arrested on Saturday after allegedly fleeing police and having methamphetamine in his vehicle. Becker Police say the incident happened just before 3:30 p.m. Police received a call reporting a vehicle that was traveling over 100 mph and weaving in and out of traffic.

Annandale Man Hurt in Wright County Motorcycle Crash

An Annandale motorcyclist is hurt after a broadside crash with a car on Saturday afternoon. The incident happened just after 4:30 p.m. The State Patrol says 38-year-old Adam Myers of Annandale was driving a Harley Davidson motorcycle westbound on Highway 12 in Waverly at 6th Street South.

Bad Habit Brewing Company is coming soon to downtown St. Joseph. The brewery is currently remodeling a space in the Mill Stream Shops at 15 East Minnesota Street. Owner Aaron Rieland says they're planning to open in September or October.

An art gallery focusing on glass pipe artwork is coming to the old Flat Iron Building in St. Cloud later this summer. The Trepanation Art Gallery will have local art with an emphasis on glass pipes for sale. Owner Travis Pinney says art is important in a growing community like St. Cloud.

Fear Not: Chick-fil-A Still Coming to St. Cloud Next Year

Despite the sign being taken down recently, Chick-fil-A is still planning to open a restaruant at the former Pizza Hut building next year. Several listeners have reached out to WJON recently concerned about the "Chick-fil-A Coming Soon" sign being taken down.

Man Charged With Child Porn Possesion After Leaving Flash Drive at St. Cloud Library

A Monticello man has been charged with four counts of possessing child pornography after leaving a flash drive at the St. Cloud Library that had pornographic images and his resume on it. According to the criminal complaint, a library supervisor called police in November after finding the images while cleaning information from the flash drive from the lost and found bin.

St. Cloud Technical and Community College president Joyce Helens has signed a new three year contract with the school. Helens is now in her 10th year with the college. She says they've added several new programs over the last decade.

SCTCC Looking For Stolen Fire Training Truck

A fire training truck owned by the St. Cloud Technical and Community College was stolen on Monday morning. The college safety and security office says the truck was taken just after 5:15 a.m. at Customized Training Solutions at 1586 Whitney Court. The vehicle is a red Ford F-250 fire training truck.

SCSU Professor: New Horizons Approach Towards Pluto is a “Historic Moment”

After spending over nine years in space, NASA's New Horizons spacecraft is set to fly within 7,767 miles of Pluto on Tuesday morning. The spacecraft has traveled 3-billion miles to get to the former-planet. St. Cloud State University assistant physics professor Gary Bohannan says the flyby will provide valuable new information on Pluto.
