Morrison County Cracking Down on Distracted Driving

The Morrison County Sheriff's Office is cracking down on distracted driving on Thursday. The Morrison County Commissioners have made April 30th distraction-free driving day. The Sheriff's Office will have extra patrols looking for distracted and inattentive driving.

St. Cloud Byerly’s Rebranding With Unified Name

The St. Cloud Byerly's is getting a new name and look this week. Starting Thursday, all 27 Lunds and Bylery's stores will be renamed Lunds & Byerlys. Customers will see new employee uniforms, name tags, grocery bags in the store. New storefront "Lunds & Byerlys" signage will also be installed at every location by the end of May.

Changes Coming to Rolling Ridge Wedding and Event Center in St. Joseph [VIDEO]

Change is coming for the historic Rolling Ridge Wedding and Event Center and Scenic Specialties location in St. Joseph. Owner Randy Schmitz says they have had increasing requests to use the property for special events like weddings over the past few years. Schmitz bought the historic 1896 farm in 2001. It's located at 31101 County Road 133.

SCSU Students Raising Money for Nepal Earthquake Victims

St. Cloud State University students are fundraising for victims of the 7.8-magnitude earthquake that struck Nepal on Saturday. The group Helping Nepal International is asking for donations inside the Atwood Memorial Center from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

St. Cloud Man Runs From Police, Arrested For Alleged Burglary

A St. Cloud man was arrested after an alleged burglary early on Monday morning. The incident happened just before 2:45 a.m. in the 200 block of 9th Avenue South. St. Cloud Police say a woman reported that an unknown man was inside her residence.

John Dough’s Pizza Coming to Sauk Rapids

A popular Melrose pizza destination is coming to Sauk Rapids. John Dough's Pizza will be moving into the former Pizza Hut on 319 North Benton Drive. John Dough's has been operating in Melrose for nearly 10 years. Owner Leon Pierskalla says they hope to open in Sauk Rapids in the early summer.

Childhood Reading Program Expanded to Give Kids Books in the Summer

The District 742 Local Education and Activities Foundation (LEAF) is partnering with the St. Cloud Rotary Club to expand a childhood reading program. A $15,000 gift from the St. Cloud Rotary Club and an additional $10,000 grant from LEAF will expand the Parents and Kids Reading Aloud Together program.

Minnesota U.S. Attorney: St. Cloud Somali Leaders Great to Work With Preventing Terror Recruitment

U.S. Attorney for Minnesota Andrew Luger says there isn't much concern about terror recruitment in Central Minnesota, compared to the Twin Cities. Luger says he's met with Somali leaders in St. Cloud and that they have been great to work with to prevent local terror recruitment.
