SCTCC Announces Name For New Veterans Center

The St. Cloud Technical and Community College has announced the name of its new veterans' center. After public voting the center will be named the Homefront Resource Center, a center for service members, veterans and their families. The new center will be in the former CentraCare Heartland building.

St. Cloud Group Running Across Minnesota to Raise Money for Refugees

A group from St. Cloud is running across Minnesota to raise money to help refugees in Southeast Asia. Around 14 people will leave from Fargo on Friday and are expecting to finish the journey in Winona by July 5th. Runners will take shifts through the trip, each member is expecting to run around 100 miles.

Two Hurt in Todd County ATV Rollover

Two people were hurt after their ATV rolled over in Todd County on Sunday night. The incident happened just before 6:15 p.m. on Northstar Drive, north of County Road 18 in Turtle Creek Township. Eric Petersen from rural Bowlus was traveling south when he lost control of the ATV, causing it to roll over.

New Antiques and Decor Shop Now Open in Downtown St. Cloud [VIDEO]

A new antiques and vintage decor shop is now open in downtown St. Cloud. The Rusty Pick is at 707 West St. Germain Street, attached to Bumbledees. The store sells clothing, jewelry, signs, architectural salvage, artwork, antique toys, vintage books and much more.

Cold Spring Extends Police Chief Boucher’s Contract

Cold Spring has extended Police Chief Chris Boucher's contract for another year. Acting city administrator Kris Dockendorf says the council also approved a 2.5 percent cost of living increase and a 3 percent step increase in his pay. Boucher was making $36.02 per hour and will now make $38.00 per hour.

St. Cloud School Board Selects Erickson For Open Seat

The St. Cloud area school district has picked Debbie Erickson to fill an empty seat on the school board. Erickson is co-chair of the District 742 bond referendum committee and was a member of the high school task force. She is also a board member of the local education and activities foundation (LEAF).

New York Gyro Opens Second Location on North Side of St. Cloud [VIDEO]

A popular St. Cloud gyro restaurant has opened a second location on the north side of town. New York Gyro opened their new restaurant at 3310 3rd Street North last Monday. New York Gyro first came to St. Cloud in 2012. The current location near University Drive South will continue to run normally.

St. Cloud Man Arrested After Allegedly Breaking Into Home, Threatening Resident

A St. Cloud man was arrested early Tuesday morning after allegedly breaking into a man's home and threatening to assault him. The incident happened just after 12:45 a.m. in the 200 block of 3rd Avenue South. St. Cloud Police say 22-year-old Alex Chicilo of St. Cloud forced his way into a home and threatened to attack the resident.
