Ashli Gerdes

I’m 24 years young and the oldest of five kids in my family. I went to Apollo High School and graduated from St. Cloud State University with a degree in broadcast journalism. When I told my parents that I wanted to be in radio, I don’t think they were surprised. My mom swears that I started talking when I was six months old and never stopped (sure I did mom). I love everything about media. For that reason, I went to school for TV journalism, worked as a news reporter for a few years and hosted weekend shows on two of our sister stations. I left radio for six short months to be the media relations specialist at College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University. But, you know what they say, “you can take the girl out of radio but you can’t take radio out of the girl.” I’m back and so excited to be living out my dream every day. I have a massive crush on Billy Currington. Billy, if you see this consider it a serious marriage proposal.

Welcome Home Ceremony To Be Held For St. Cloud’s Special Olympic Athletes

The 2014 Special Olympic USA games wrap tomorrow in New Jersey.

St. Cloud native Max Grell will be taking home two gold medals from his 25 meter backstroke and 100 meter freestyle race. He won a bronze metal in his 50 freestyle race.

Max Grell took home two gold medals at the Special Olympic 2014 USA games today. He raced in the 25 meter back and 100 meter freestyle race and reduced his time in both races.

The College Of St. Benedict To Pay Back 600K Of Tom Petters’ Donation [AUDIO]

The College of St. Benedict will soon be paying back a $600,000 donation given to them by convicted Ponzi Schemer Tom Petters. Petters agreed to donate about $3-million to the college before he was convicted in 2009 of running a $3.5-billion fraud.
