UNDATED - The unemployment rate in the St. Cloud metro area dipped last month. The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development says it's now at 3.4 percent. That's down from 3.7 percent in July.

It's our lowest unemployment rate since November of last year. However, most of the other metro regions around the state are still doing better than us: Mankato's unemployment rate is 2.8 percent, Rochester is at 2.9 percent, and the Twin Cities are at 3.3 percent. Only Duluth is higher than us at 4.5 percent.

Minnesota's unemployment rate is four-percent, while the national rate is 5.2 percent.
