ATV Falls Through Ice On Stearns County Lake

COLD SPRING - Several people are okay after the ATV, and the trailer, they were riding on fell through the ice.

The Stearns County Sheriff's Office says it happened just before 4:30 p.m. this (Saturday) afternoon on the north shore of Cedar Island Lake southwest of Cold Spring.

Forty-three-year-old Brian Will of Sartell was pulling two other adults and four children on a trailer when he came to a large crack in the ice and was unable to stop before the ATV went into the water.

Everyone was able to get out of the water and onto an island where they were helped to shore by the Chain Of Lakes Rescue.

No one was hurt.
