SAUK RAPIDS -- This week on WJON's Around the Town segment, reporter Chrissy Gaetke visits Jimmy's Pour House for their St. Patrick's Day party.

For 40 years Jimmy's Pour House has been celebrating St. Patrick's Day, owner Dena Hagberg says it started out as a small get-together.

"We've gone from selling maybe one keg of green beer to probably 30 kegs of green beer. We have expanded our menu quite a bit and obviously our seating capcity is about five times what it used to be."

Besides plenty of green beer, the restaurant has all of your favorite Irish grub.

"We have corned beef and cabbage, we have Irish bangers n mash, and we have our Irish stew in a bread bowl."

For musical entertainment the festival will feature on Friday, The Loons from 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m., Adam Herron from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Honey Badgers from 8:00 p.m. - midnight. Saturday will feature Switch from 8:00 p.m. - midnight.

If you plan on going out to any St. Patrick's Day party, be sure to plan ahead for a safe ride home. St. Cloud has multiple cab services as well Uber and Lyft.

Every Friday during the News at Noon Show, Gaetke travels around the St. Cloud metro area to highlight local celebrations, businesses and charity events. Do you have a suggestion of where she should go? Email chrissy@wjon.com
