Area Students Looking to Spell Their Way to Washington, D.C.

COLLEGEVILLE – The top spellers from several area schools are getting together today (Thursday) at St. John’s University for the Regional Spelling Bee.

There are two similar Bees, one at 9:00 a.m. and the other at 1:00 p.m. The top two finishers in each Bee will advance to the Multi-Regional State Spelling Bee on Tuesday in Fergus Falls.

The top finisher in that Bee advances to the National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C.

The morning Bee includes 5th through 8th graders from St. Cloud, Sartell-St. Stephen, Sauk Rapids-Rice, Melrose and Kimball.¬† This afternoon’s Bee includes kids from Foley, Holdingford, and Paynesville.
