Are Sports Too Dangerous for Youth? [AUDIO]

Photo – Jay Caldwell

Are sports too dangerous for youth to participate in?  That is the question posed by Patty Candella from “Sartell Says”.  Patty appeared on WJON along with Dr. David Smith from Sartell Pediatrics from 8:10-10 during 2-Cent Tuesday.  Dr. George Morris also joined the discussion and the tail end of the program.  The next panel discussion for Sartell Says will be on the dangers of injuries for youth in sports and it will take place at Sartell-St. Stephen High School Monday April 7.

Patty, Dr. Smith and I discussed the pluses and minuses with sports and Dr. Smith identified the risks involved depending on the age and maturity level of the child.  Listen to the conversation below.
