PLYMOUTH (AP) — Recreational vehicle maker Arctic Cat Inc. plans to move its corporate headquarters from the western Twin Cities to downtown Minneapolis.

The headquarters is now located in Plymouth. Arctic Cat said Tuesday it is making the move to the North Loop area of Minneapolis to accommodate growth.

Arctic Cat plans to occupy an entire six-story building formerly known as the Western Container site. Financial terms of the lease were not disclosed.

The new headquarters will have about 55,000 square feet compared with 11,000 square feet in the company's current corporate office.

Arctic Cat expects to start occupying the new headquarters next summer.

Arctic Cat designs, engineers, manufactures and markets all-terrain vehicles, side-by-sides and snowmobiles. The company has manufacturing facilities in St. Cloud and Thief River Falls.
