PLYMOUTH -- An Arctic Cat dealership in Sauk Centre is crediting a new snowmobile chassis and improved four-stroke engines for part of the reason for increased sales so far this year.

Country Cat salesman John Panitzke says the new lineup of snowmobiles increased their second quarter sales because of an increase in pre-orders.

The Plymouth-based snowmobile and ATV manufacturer recently announced a 25-percent increase in sales revenue for the second quarter of this year.

Panitzke says their sales figures are similar to the manufacturers and says people want to have fun despite a tough economy.

He says Arctic Cat's new side-by-side performance ATV will boost an already strong sales year. The Wildcat is set to hit showroom floors sometime after the first of the year but he says pre-sales are already starting to come in.
