ST. CLOUD -- A sophomore from Apollo High School went into cardiac arrest while on his way home from school yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon.

The boy was taken to St. Cloud Hospital where he died.

Superintendent Bruce Watkins says the incident began at about 3:40 p.m. while the bus was going from Apollo over to North.

Watkins says he and other District staff met with the victim's family last night.

There were about 25 students on the bus at the time, their parents were also contacted to let them know their child had witnessed the incident.

Crisis teams will be available at both Apollo and North today to help students who are experiencing grief.
