ST. CLOUD - The Apollo Eagles took down the Moorhead Spuds for their second game this season with a final score of 27-20.

The Eagles struck first with a quarterback draw touchdown from Ben Alvord, making it 7-0.

Receiver Noel Teigen would haul in two impressive touchdown catches in the first half. Apollo goes back and forth with Moorhead through the first half but comes out with a lead at halftime 20-13.

In the second half both teams would add touchdowns to their lead. The Spuds get the ball with under two minutes to go and try to tie the game, but fall short in the end. Apollo wins with a final score of 27-20.

Apollo is off to a perfect start with a 2-0 record. Next week the Eagles go on the road to take on Sauk Rapids-Rice. For more information on the team and their complete schedule, you can visit the Apollo football website.
