The Apollo Eagles waited out a lightning delay and topped the Cambridge-Isanti Bluejackets 32-21 at St. Cloud State University. The game was delayed by 30 minutes due to lightning in the area.

Joey Atkinson shined in his debut as starting quarterback for the Eagles, going 22-26 for 262 yards and three touchdowns while also rushing eight times for 68 yards. Peter Nelson pulled in eight passes for 134 yards and two touchdowns, including a 57-yard TD.

Rogers beat Sartell 14-7 in Rogers Saturday afternoon in a hot, humid and very windy game. Quarterback Chris Belling was 7-26 for 98 yards with two interceptions in the loss.
