ST. CLOUD -- A man involved in the December 2014 shooting at the Waite Park Motel 6 has pleaded guilty to sex trafficking.

Twenty-one-year-old Alex Hazelrigg pleaded guilty to trafficking a 16-year-old girl from Akeley, MN over a two-week period in the fall of 2014.

The girl was discovered after the shooting December 12th. Defendants in that shooting case, Jonathon Hanson and Deandre Jones have pleaded guilty for their roles in the incident.

According to the criminal complaint, Hazelrigg picked up the girl from her home in Akeley after Thanksgiving, brought her to Waite Park, took pictures of her, placed ads on backpage.com, rented hotel rooms for her, and told her what to charge for sex.

Hazelrigg also kept some of the money the girl made during that time, pointed a gun to her head and threatened to burn her with a "blunt" because she wasn't giving him enough money.

The Stearns County prosecutors office will be asking for nearly eight years in prison when Hazelrigg is sentenced November 3rd.
