Annual “Parade of Lights” and More Kicking Off in Sauk Rapids Today

SAUK RAPIDS - Holiday spirit will be in the air in Sauk Rapids today and tonight - it's the 5th Annual "Parade of Lights."

The parade route, including floats decked out in Christmas lights -  is set to start at 5:00 p.m. The route will wind along 2nd Avenue from Williams-Dingmann Funeral Home to the Harvest Fellowship Church.

Additionally, Sauk Rapids residents are invited to take part in the 22nd annual "House Lighting" contest. Prizes will be awarded in a few categories, including single-light display, multi-light display, and holiday-themed.

A few other festivities to keep in mind - the Sauk Rapids VFW will be hosting a steak and potato dinner from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for $12.00.

Also, the Sauk Rapids Fire Department will be collecting toys for Toys for Tots from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Sauk Rapids Fire Station.
