COLLEGEVILLE -- The tenth annual "Living In The Avon Hills" conference gets underway Saturday at St. John's University.

From 8:00 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. you can learn about the hills that span about 50 square miles of Stearns County.

There will be a series of more than 35 informational sessions that cover the natural history of plants and animals in the area.

Event organizer John O'Reilly says you get to choose what sessions you attend.

In between sessions you can enjoy refreshments and visit with the presenters. There will be a keynote presentation by The Wildlife Science Center.

The event is family friendly and features sessions geared toward children as well. Kids can enjoy stories and interactive tools that display two live raptors.

The cost is $30 per adult and $10 per child. Same day registration is available but space is limited.
