Anna Marie’s Hires New Executive Director

ST. CLOUD -- Anna Marie's Alliance hired a new executive director, Darlene Disney. She is scheduled to start on April 26th.

Disney previously served as the executive director for Wishes and More, a non-profit that grants wishes to terminally ill kids.

Before that Disney was the executive director for Rivers of Hope in Monticello, a family violence program similar to Anna Marie's.

She was one of four finalists considered for the position. This was Anna Marie's second search since the announced retirement of current executive director, Maxine Barnett.

Anna Marie's board of directors chairman, David Warne says the second search had more applicants.

Barnett has been the executive director for more than 30 years. She has served as the only executive director for Anna Maries. Warne says he is grateful for the time Barnett has spent with the organization.

Anna Marie's plans to hold a community introduction for Disney within the coming weeks.
