Mary was born December 26, 1928 in Campbell’s Creek, Port au Port, Newfoundland, Canada to Doug & Molly (O’Flaherty) MacDonald. She married Othmar Boeckmann on October 23, 1948 at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Port au Port, Newfoundland. The couple raised four daughters and nine sons together. Mary was a homemaker and lived in Eden Valley most of her life. She was a member of Assumption Catholic Church in Eden Valley where she was involved in Christian Women. Mary was also a member of Eden Valley American Legion Auxiliary Post 381 for 30 years where she served as chaplain and was a member of Eves of Eden. Mary enjoyed reading, listening to Irish music and knitting. Family, faith and friends were very important to her.

Survivors include her children and their spouses, Ronald & Barbara of Richmond, Joan & Doug Klein of Eden Valley, Michael of St. Paul, Douglas & Mary Beth Solheim of Minneapolis, David of Minneapolis, Daniel of Sartell, Beverly & Richard Schaff of Maple Grove, Thomas & Ann of Minneapolis, Betty & Keith Westrup of Kimball, John & Petey of Watkins, Mary & Joseph Kramer of Watkins, Richard &Dalena of Phoenix, AZ, Jeffrey & Susie of Minnetonka; sister, Loretta Gabriel of Stephenville, Newfoundland; three stepsisters and one stepbrother; 22 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Othmar “Frosty” on October 8, 2002.
