Anita F. Minks, age 88, of Princeton, died Monday, January 11, 2016 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis following a long illness. Anita was born in Minneapolis on February 5, 1927 to George and Caroline (Kiipper) Schumacher. She grew up in Minneapolis and graduated in 1944 from South High. On September 27, 1947 she was united in marriage to Willie F. Minks at Trinity Lutheran Church in Minneapolis. The couple farmed in the Princeton area and became lifetime members at Zion Lutheran Church. Anita’s compassion shined through as she worked at the Cambridge State Hospital for a time and also at St. Francis School as a paraprofessional, working with children with special needs. She also did sign language shows with the 3 Rivers Signers. Anita loved going to the casino and playing bingo. She was a social butterfly and made friends everywhere she went. She loved God and she loved her family.

She is survived by her children, Lee (Marlys) Minks, Joel (Debi) Minks and Lynn Minks; grandchildren, Tonya (Shawn) Williams, Traci (Erik) Olson, Shelly (Scott) Fournier, Troy (Gervea) Minks and Krystal Larson; 13 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Connie Schumacher; special friend Shirley Heyn; puppy Little Bit; along with many nieces and nephews other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother George Jr., daughter-in-law Melissa Minks, and many brothers and sisters-in-law.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11AM on Friday, January 15, 2016 at Zion Lutheran Church in rural Princeton. Visitation will be held from 5-8PM on Thursday, January 14, 2016 with a prayer service at 7PM at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Princeton and visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Interment will be in Oak Knoll Cemetery, Princeton.

Arrangements are entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Princeton.
