WAITE PARK - A Mexican restaurant that opened a Waite Park location just a few months ago is doing so well they've already had to expand.

Anejos Restaurant has more than doubled their space in Waite Park, going from about 2,700 square feet to over 6,000. They've moved into the old dollar store space.

Owner Ramon Navarro says they've been well received since opening on Second Avenue South in Waite Park in March. He says the new space has a lot of custom decor made in Mexico.

They have plans to eventually bring in some entertainment like: Salsa dancing, karaoke, and more.

Anejos has hired 10 more employees to handle the bigger crowds.

Navarro says he opened the Waite Park location because they ran out of room at their Sartell restaurant, but he says they're busier than ever in Sartell. That location has about 2,800 square feet. Sartell opened about three years ago.

And, as for the future, Navarro says he'd like to expand the Anejos franchise and add a location in Sauk Rapids and possible south St. Cloud.
