ST. CLOUD -- The Amtrak passenger train was delayed this morning due to the pedestrian that was struck and killed by a train in southeast St. Cloud.

Conductor Josh Smith says passengers were being told to expect an hour to an hour and a half delay.

Aimee Larsen was waiting at the Amtrak station for her train to arrive. She says she got an alert message sent to her phone warning her of the delay.

There was an Amtrak train with passengers stalled just north of St. Cloud this morning  that has now made it to the depot.
