Alvina C. Scheierl, 99, Paynesville

Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Grace United Methodist Church in Paynesville for Alvina C. Scheierl, age 99, of Paynesville, who passed away Tuesday, September 23 at Washburne Court in Paynesville. Burial will take place in the St. Louis Parish Cemetery in Paynesville. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.

Alvina was born October 21, 1914 in Paynesville, MN to William and Luisa (Donath) Albrecht. She married Sylvester “Pete” Scheierl on November 2, 1946 in Paynesville. Together they farmed in Union Grove Township in Meeker County all their married lives. She was Treasurer of the School Board for District 1089 for nine years. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Paynesville.

Alvina is survived by her son Gary (Linda) of Paynesville, granddaughters Sharon (Richard Quast) Albrecht and Sandra (Dan Lambert) Albrecht, great granddaughter Christina Quast and great great grandson Kailin Louis.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband Sylvester “Pete” (1971), son Dennis (1988), sisters Ada Engelbretson, Dora Bardson, Mathilda Gale and brothers Edward, Fredrick, Herbert “Dick” and Wilhelm Albrecht.
