Alvina “Al” Simon, 83. St. Cloud

Alvina “Al” Simon, age 83, St. Cloud MN, died Friday, September 11, 2015 at St. Benedict’s Senior Community, St. Cloud, MN.

Funeral services will be Friday, September 18, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Benson Funeral Home Chapel, St. Cloud MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Friday. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery, Montevideo, MN.

Alvina was born December 31, 1931 in Havelock Township, Chippewa County, Minnesota to Herbert and Hazel (Sanderson) Krenz. She was employed in retail at Coach House Gifts and Hallmark. Alvina was a member of a bowling league, and enjoyed travel, baking and cake decorating, crocheting and embroidery.

Survivors include son, Mark (LouAnn) Simon of St. Joseph, MN; daughter, Debra (John) Caserotti of Richfield, MN; sisters, Delores Olson of Bird Island, MN; Marlys (Jack) Strommer of Montevideo, MN; Betty Brown of Minneapolis, MN; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Bryan William Simon and infant sister, Bernice Krenz.

Memorials are preferred to the Alzheimer’s Association.
