Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Aloys A. “Al” Theisen, 83, of St. Cloud will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud. Al passed away peacefully with family by his side on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at the VA Medical Center in St. Cloud. Burial with military honors will be in St. Boniface Parish Cemetery, Cold Spring.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and after 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday BOTH at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud. Parish prayers will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the church.

Al was born on June 5, 1933 in Cold Spring, Minnesota to Aloys and Anna (Dockendorf) Theisen. Al served in the U. S. Army from 1954 to 1956 and the U.S. Army Reserve until 1962. Al married Renee L. Kraemer on May 9, 1964 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Cold Spring. They made their home in St. Cloud and Al retired from the Stearns County Licensing Center. Al was a charter member of St. Michael’s Parish.

Al treasured spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed woodworking, gardening, music, playing piano and was an avid reader.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Renee of St. Cloud; children, Todd (Ann) of St. Cloud, Keith (Gina) of Blaine, Jason (Kathryn) of St. Cloud; seven grandchildren; brothers and sister, Merwina Theisen of Waite Park, Donald (Pat) of Minot, North Dakota, Gerald of St. Joseph, Leroy of St. Joseph; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Clarence, Roger, Walter, Kenneth and Joseph; and sisters, Adeline Kuechle, Cordula Theisen and Ann Donnay.
